How hot is it today?
It’s so hot today, the brewers are going into the boiler room to cool
off.
It’s so hot today, everybody volunteered to clean the inside of the
cold box.
It’s so hot today, we all had a cold St. Arnold from the taps after
work.
Wait, we do that everyday!
SAINT ARNOLD SERVICE DAY AT DENVER HARBOR PARK ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 18
Come out and help make Houston better by doing a little gardening and
yard work at Denver Harbor Park on Saturday, August 18. We will meet at
the park at 10 AM, do some clean-up, then around noon tap the keg and
sit back and admire our handiwork. Bring a Frisbee, football or other
sports paraphernalia to enjoy afterwards. Also bring a picnic lunch and
work gloves. We could use a couple of wheelbarrows too._
Date: Saturday, August 18
Time: 10 AM till 2 PM (work for a couple hours, play for a couple
hours)
Cost: Your sweat

OUR FINAL ASTROS BUS TRIP ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 25 VS PIRATES
It may be hard to believe, but the Astros have a 3-0 record for our bus
trips. This one will be on a Saturday too. We will meet here at the
brewery at 2:30 for refreshments, then the bus will leave at 3:30 and
head downtown seeking a fine, multi-tap, UFO themed establishment for some
pre-game beverages. Then at 5:30, we’ll meander over to MinuteMaid for
the 6:05 opening pitch to watch the Astros beat the Pirates. After the
game, the bus will return everybody to their vehicles here at the
brewery.
Also, to create our feeling of solidarity, and to ease with wardrobe
decisions, we are asking attendees to wear a hopwaiian shirt if they have
one. This will also simplify tracking everybody down as we get back
onto the bus. This is not a requirement, just a request. If you either
don’t have one or your old one is looking faded, we are again offering a
$10 discount on our hopwaiians ($26 instead of the regular $36). You
can either get your shirt ahead of time or the night of the game. (We are
out of Larges.)

Pregame: 2:30 PM at brewery
Bus departure from brewery: 3:30 PM
Bus return to brewery: After the game
Price: $30 (includes pregame, bus roundtrip and Astros ticket)
Extra: Another $26 will get you a hopwaiian shirt

OKTOBERFEST PUB CRAWL ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 31

DIVINE RESERVE NO. 5 COMING IN SEPTEMBER
Divine Reserve No. 5, a Russian Imperial Stout, will be released in
early September. More to come on this too.
